James Brasseaux

Funeral service will be held for James Brasseaux, age 80, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park. The Reverend Paul Bienvenu will conduct the service.
Mr. Brasseaux, who was a native and resident of Opelousas, died on Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Opelousas General Health System.
He worked and retired as a bus driver for the St. Landry Parish School System.
Survivors include his Goddaughter, Marlene Arnaud of Scott and 21 nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Victoria Guilbeau Brasseaux brothers, Lionel, Wills, Paul, Elrick, Ferdie and Ray Brasseaux and a sister, Marie Lizo Darbonne.
Visiting hours will be from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2012 in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home. A rosary will be held on Monday evening.
