Jacque Latiolais

Opelousas - Funeral services will be held for Jacque Emile "J. E."  Latiolais at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, Louisiana. Rev. Fr. Gregory Simien will officiate the services.  Rite of Committal and burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, Louisiana.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jacque Emile Latiolais, known to many as "J. E.", age 89, on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loved ones who will continue to honor him by living their lives to the fullest.

Jacque was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked over 40 years with South Central Bell in Opelousas.  He enjoyed spending time with family, listening to French music, and crawfishing.

Jacque was a loving father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sons, Keith Latiolais and wife, Linda, of Opelousas; Donny Latiolais and wife Patricia, of Independence; Kelvin Latiolais and wife, Ramona, of Mandeville; and Kent Latiolais of Opelousas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Dora L. Wimberley Latiolais; and his parents, Leon Latiolais and Cora Bihm Latiolais. May they all dance in heaven and protect us.

Pallbearers will be Jason Latiolais, Bryan Latiolais, Chad Latiolais, Jon-Erik Latiolais, Brock Latiolais and Blake Latiolais. Honorary pallbearers will be Monique Latiolais Quick, Courtney Latiolais and Victoria Latiolais.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, La.  A Rosary service will be held at 1:30 pm in the funeral home.
