Irma Savoy

A Mass of Christian Burial for Irma Veillon Savoy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2011, in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas. The Reverend Paul Bienvenu will conduct the mass.

Mrs. Savoy, age 95, a resident of Opelousas, La. died on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at her residence.

Irma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sisters, Josephine V. McLean of Baton Rouge, La. Catherine Veillon of Baton Rouge, La. Claire v. Landry of Opelousas, La. and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee J. Savoy her parents, Edovic and Altha Mornhinveg Veillon her brothers, Edward Veillon, Earl Veillon, Charles Veillon, Joel Veillon and her sister, Juanita St. Amand.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on 8:00 a.m. on Friday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
