Ida Eva "Sis" Arnaud

Opelousas – Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019 for Ida Eva “Sis” Arnaud at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. The Reverend Monsignor Russell Harrington will officiate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.

Ida Eva “Sis” Arnaud, age 66 and a resident of Marrero, passed away on August 5, 2019 at West Jefferson Medical Center.

Eva “Sis” Arnaud was an exceptional cook, who enjoyed spending time cooking for her family. She was an avid New Orleans Saints fan. Sis was devoted to talking on the phone everyday to her brothers and sister-in-law. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Ronald Arnaud of Marrero; son, Ronnie Arnaud, Jr. and his wife, Nikki of Marrero; three grandchildren, Parrish Cascio, Gage Arnaud and Claire Arnaud; brothers, Jim Stelly and his wife, Virginia of Opelousas and Robert Stelly of Texas City, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Penny Cascio; grandchildren, Keithy Cascio and Gavin Arnaud; parents, Dona Dieu Stelly and Ida Lejeune Stelly; brothers, Percy Stelly, Jessie “Buck” Stelly, Louis Stelly and Dennis Stelly; and sisters, Joyce Taylor, Lillian Stelly, Gurcie Vidrine and Debbie Lejeune Aucoin.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. by Cecille Dupre and Jim Stelly. Visitation will continue on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
