Opelousas - A native of Church Point and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Sunday, June 8, 2008. Pappy was a foreman for 20 years at a local meat packing plant in Opelousas. He retired as a meat market manager for National Food Stores in Baton Rouge after many years.
Visitation will be held at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home, 2845 South Union Street, in Opelousas, La. 70570 on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation resumes on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at 8:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Landry Catholic Church of Opelousas, La. celebrated by Monsignor Robert Romero followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, La.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Catherine Comeaux of Opelousas, La.; daughters-in-law, Bernice Comeaux and Sandra Comeaux of Baton Rouge, La; nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren; a sister, Eunice Richard of Church Point, La. and a brother, Mark MC Tee Comeaux of Opelousas, La.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle; an infant daughter, Louella Grace; sons, Anthony Tony Comeaux; Paul Aubrey Comeaux; brothers, John Comeaux, Alex Comeaux and his sister, Agatha Miller.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Russell, Allen, Bobby, Kim, Michael, Toby and David Comeaux and his granddaughters, Charmaine Manuel and Tracy Flickinger.
