Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Hurbert Soileau, age 85, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, La., followed by interment in the Sacred Heart Church Mausoleum in Ville Platte, La. Monsignor Keith DeRouen will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.

Mr. Soileau, a resident of Opelousas, La., died Monday, June 4, 2012, at his home in Opelousas, La.

Hubert was a retired farmer and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his brother, Curtis Soileau of Opelousas, La. his sisters, Jerry Dean Veillon of Ville Platte, La. and Joyce Dupre of Washington, La.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Lezima Fontenot Soileau and his sister, Verdine Meche.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
