Hilda Miller

Lawtell A Mass of Christian Burial will held for Hilda Faul Miller, age 80, on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell, La. followed by interment in the St. Andrew Church Cemetery in Plaisance, La. Father Daniel Picard will officiate the services.

Hilda, who was a resident of Lawtell, died at her daughters residence in Plaisance Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 5:00 a.m.

Hilda was a caregiver and loved baking. Her specialty was her raisin cookies.

She is survived her husband, Lloyd Miller, Sr. of Lawtell, La. her sons, Lloyd Miller, Jr. and wife, Roma, of Port Barre, La. Rodney Miller of Opelousas, La. Darrell Miller and wife, Tammy, of Leonville, La. her daughters, Ella Mae Soileau and husband, Bob, of Ville Platte, La. Earline Miller of Lafayette, La. and Annie Lee Cormier and husband, Gary, of Plaisance, La. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 31 greatgrandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melton and Evina Venable Faul her brothers, Leroy and Mervin Faul her sisters, Regina Daigle, Eva Daigle, Louise Matte, Clarice and Doris Thibodeaux and her daughter, Geraldine Miller Soileau.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010 until service time. A rosary will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
