Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Savant will be on Saturday, October 25th, 2008 in Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30AM with the Interment in the Resurrection Cemetery in Whiteville. The Rev. Jerry Mesley will conduct the services.

Mrs. Savant, age 89, born in Whiteville and a resident of Whiteville, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 3:20AM at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas.

She was a clerk in the St. Landry Clerk of Court office.

Mrs. Savant is survived by her son: Larry Joseph Savant of Clewiston, FL., 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Ms. Helen was preceded in death by her husband; Joseph Savant, her parents; Walter Lambert and Mary McKeever Lambert and 2 sons; Charles William and Joseph Lambert Savant. The family has requested that visitation be on Friday, October 24th from 5PM to 8PM and will continue on Saturday from 8AM until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00PM
