Helen Salanitro

Opelousas A Memorial Service will be held for Helen Rena Salanitro at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Reverend Jared Suire will conduct the memorial service.

Mrs. Salanitro, age 94, a resident of Washington, La., died on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at her residence.

Helen will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her son, John Salanitro, Jr. her daughters, Nora Salanitro Wilmoth, Betty Salanitro Larson, Patricia Salanitro Hailar and her brother, George Ruppelt. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Salanitro her parents, Helen and Thomas Ruppelt her brothers, Calvin Ruppelt and Thomas Ruppelt and her sisters, Pearl Kobbs, Joyce Felton, Edna Gleytten and Inez Hieb and a grandson, Dennis Johnson.

Visiting will begin at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, December 6, 2013, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.
