Helen Reed

A Mass of Christian burial for Helen Stelly Reed will be held on Tuesday January 19, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville. The interment will take place in the church mausoleum. Fr. Ken Domingue will celebrate the mass.

Mrs. Reed, age 63 a resident of Leonville died Sunday January 17, 2010 at Opelousas General Health System following a short illness. She was a retired beautician.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, John E. Reed of Leonville, LA., 2 sons Tony Taylor of Port Barre, LA. and David Taylor of Katy, TX, 4 brothers Merlin Stelly of Westwego, LA., Dan Stelly of Burkeville, TX., Bob Stelly of Thibodaux, LA. and Harold Stelly of Leonville, LA., sisters Gloria Dailey of Leonville, LA., Jo Anne Briscoe of Leonville, LA. and Donna Morris of Opelousas, LA., 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Felix M. Stelly and Corine Landry Stelly and a brother Irving Stelly.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville and will reopen on Tuesday from 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday.
