Hazel Sandoz

Funeral services for Hazel Marie Burleigh Sandoz will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. The interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park. Reverend James Brady will conduct the service.

Mrs. Sandoz, age 95, a resident of Opelousas, died on Friday December 5, 2014 at Courtyard Manor Nursing Home in Lafayette. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters Odile S. Guidry and husband Lyman of Destin, FL., Carolyn S. Quebedeaux and husband Harry of Covington, Hazel S. Lavergne and husband Edward of Lafayette, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Sandoz, parents John and Marie DeJean Burleigh, daughter Charlene Miley.

The family has requested visitation be held on Sunday December 7, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be prayed on Sunday at 6:00 p.m.
