Harvey Dies

Funeral services for Harvey James Dies will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs.  Reverend Allen Myers will conduct the services.

Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Monday, December 28, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harvey James Dies, age, 64.  Harvey passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Opelousas General Medical Center.

Harvey enjoyed many aspects in life the biggest was drag racing, where he received many awards for his prized cars and biggest hobby.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs, where his faith was very important to him. He also enjoyed cooking and fishing, and spending time with the ones he cherished the most. Harvey will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Alberta Dies, and his wife Carol Dies. His son Dustin Dies, his daughter Rachel Loucks and husband Matthew Loucks. His brother Roger Dies, his godson Jeremy Lacomb, and great nephew Steven Etheridge His four grandchildren Devin Dies, Kadden Benton, Carter and Sawyer Loucks. His nephews Donovan Dies, Aubrey Dies, Jordan Williams, and a niece Jessica Dies.

He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Dies, the mother of his children, Patricia Dies, his nephew Adam Roy Williamson, his nephew Larry Scarborough, his grandmother Edna LeBouef, and Uncle James “Jimmy” Kemp

Pallbearers will include Jeremy Lacombe, Donovan Dies, Aubrey Dies, Roger Dies, Matthew Loucks, and Colby Fontenot.
