Harry was our family’s best friend. When his dad passed away, he stepped into the shoes no son should ever have to, but he did it with love. He took care of his mother and his twin sisters. He worked hard and complained little (if at all). He made sure to let us all know he was there if ever we needed him. He was a brother, uncle, mentor and best friend to many, within and outside our family circle…and as with family…he loved them fiercely. Most referred to him as “Dirty” as in Dirty Harry… (he loved it). He responded to a few nicknames that he “earned”. Throughout his lifetime his favorites were “Noncie and Paran, which was affectionately given to him by the big twins in his birth order. He loved being a Husband, Dad and Poppa. One of his proudest moments was when he married the love of his life. He proudly stated he waited 55 years to find her. He was extremely proud and happy to have the family that he had and waited for so long. Her children were his children. This was a dream come true for him. Harry lived life large. He worked hard, played hard, and he was an adventurer. He was a traveler, he loved camping, riding his Harley, hunting and watching sports (especially watching his grandchildren play). Harry made lasting friendships that nurtured his love for life. He never met a stranger and was indeed one of the kindest people. We all love you and we will see you on the other side. Please watch over us (and no pranks!!!)
Harry retired from Midwest Cooling Towers after 40 years. He loved taking trips around the states on his bike and enjoyed camping with his wife, Tracy Mayer Williams. He also loved spending time with his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Tracy Williams. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Christina Mayer (Noah Cecil), Tricia Estilette (Ray), and Toni Mayer (Vale). Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Robert "Bear" Williams (Dawn) and sisters, Christine "Tina" Schexneider, Kathleen "Tippie" Williams, Katherine "Gossie" Williams, and Carol Triola-Langlois (Lionel). He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jason Cochran (Aaliyah), Michael Cochran, Caidyn Cochran, Kaleb Mayer, Dakota Mayer, Whitleigh Estilette, Baylee Estilette; as well as two great-grandchildren, Elijah Cecil and Ezra Cochran and his Godchild, Brittany Schexneider. Harry also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Frederick Williams and Mary Lou Breaux Williams; his brothers-in-law, Anthony "Tony" Triola and Joseph "Joe" Schexneider; his in-laws, Tony Guerin, Sr. and Clara Courville Guerin; and his sister-in-law, Sharon Hebert.
Harry Williams will be remembered fondly for his unwavering dedication to family, adventurous spirit, and love for life. May he rest in peace knowing he was cherished by many.
