Harris Fruge

Melville- Funeral services for Harris Fruge, age 92, will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Melville followed by interment in the Baptist Cemetery. The Reverend Billy Wayne Ivy will conduct services.

Mr. Fruge, who was a native of Marksville, LA and a resident of Piggott, Arkansas, died on Saturday, October 17, 2009 in Piggott, Arkansas.

Survived by his daughters Virginia Heatherwick of Lettsworth, LA, Mary Francis Ivy of Piggott, Ark., Rita Faye Lavergne of Jefferson, LA, Marjorie Ann Fruge of Lettsworth, LA, and Bonnie Key Gautreaux of Melville, LA; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife, Josephine Phillips Fruge; son Mack Savant; daughter, Christine Sanders; grandsons, Derek Viola and Harris Dewayne Sanders and a granddaughter, Crystal Gail Shelton.

Visiting will be held in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, from 2:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. and will re-open on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until service time.
