Harold Robichaux

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Harold Anthony Robichaux, age 82, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. Rite of Committal will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery with Monsignor Keith DeRouen as the celebrant.

Mr. Robichaux, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 2:05 p.m. at Prompt Succor Nursing Home.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Germany. Harold owned and operated several successful meat markets over the years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Everlee G. Robichaux, of Opelousas, La. his son, L.A. Tony Robichaux and wife, Sherri, of Houma, La. his sisters, Lee Ida Rodriguez of Houma, La. Rita Ann Tanner and husband, Tommy, of Hurst, Texas his brothers, Raymond Robichaux and wife, Bettie Jo, of Lafayette, La. and Allen Robichaux and wife, Nelwyn, of Houma, La. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Kyle M. Robichaux of Plaquemine, La. Craig A. Robichaux of Houma, La. Dorian R. Daigneault of Houma, La. and 2 greatgrandchildren, Jacque A. Robichaux and Sidney J. Robichaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Joseph Robichaux and Rita Elizabeth Landry Robichaux his sisters, Rosa Mae Pisani, Irene R. Detiveaux, Mary Claire Robichaux and his brothers, Sidney Robichaux, Earl Robichaux and Jerry Robichaux.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Friday, August 10, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., at which time Mr. Robichaux will be transferred to church for a rosary before the 11:00 a.m. Mass.
