Harold Lacassin

June 26, 1951 — July 23, 2010

Krotz Springs Funeral services for Mr. Harold Lacassin will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs, La. Rev. Dayle Williamson and Chad Bolfa will officiate the services, followed by interment in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, La.

Mr. Lacassin passed away on July 23, 2010 at his residence after a lengthy battle with cancer.

As an avid fisherman he loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful dad, grandpa and fatherinlaw who will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is survived by his children, Harold Travis Lacassin and wife, Mary, of Marksville, La. Bryan Clint Lacassin and wife, Heidi, of Krotz Springs, La. and Amber Gay Lacassin and fianc, Thomas Goodwin, of Krotz Springs, La. He is also survived by his brothers, Johnnie Lacassin, Fred Lacassin, David Lacassin, Gerard Lacassin, Douglas Lacassin and his sisters, Audrey Halphen, Margaret Credeur and Acklin Doucet.

Leaving behind to mourn will be the lights of his life his grandchildren, Hunter, Travis, Nathan, Hannah and Matthew. He will also be greatly missed by his loving friend, Adrienne Fay Stermer her children, Lt. Leon T. Boudreaux, Chief Deon R. Boudreaux, Leanne Faye Boudreaux, Ashley DAvery and grandchildren.

The children of Harold Lacassin would like to thank their mother, Yolande, for responding to the needs and care of their father during this time. The family would like to extend thanks to the families and friends for all their support and prayers. It was greatly appreciated.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Baton Rouge, La. and especially, Dr. Charles Wood and his nurse, Melissa. They would also like to thank the staff of the LSUE Hospital oncology department in Baton Rouge, La. and especially, Dr. Kellie Schmeeckle and her nurse practitioner, Debbie.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will reopen Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
