Hadley Castille

Funeral services will be held for Hadley J. Castille, age 79, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery with the Reverend Roy Baker of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Castille, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Prompt Succor Care Facility.

Hadley was an award winning musician and served as a cultural ambassador for the French community and Southwest Louisiana. He participated in several community civic, tourism and cultural organizations. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Earline Shay Castille, of Opelousas, La. his sons, Blake Castille and wife, Cheryl Larkin Castille, of Prairie Laurent, La. Joey Castille of Opelousas, La. his daughter, Tanya Castille of Opelousas, La. and his sisterinlaw, Velma Manuel Castille, of Opelousas, La. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Sarah Jayde Williams, of Opelousas, La.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francois and Eliza Castille and his two brothers, Donne Dieu Castille and Dieu Donne Castille.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. until funeral time.
