Gracie "Grace" Bryson

Krotz Springs – Funeral services for Gracie (Grace) Mae Bennett Bryson will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs.  Father Michael DeBlanc will conduct the service.  Burial will follow in the St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.  A Rosary will be prayed at 1:00 p.m.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gracie (Grace) Mae Bennett Bryson, age 89, who passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Gracie, also known as Grace, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.  She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed hosting Sunday dinners for all of her family.  She was a talented seamstress and made beautiful quilts.  She belonged to the quilting guild for many years.  She was a parishioner St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, was a lay minister and was a member of the St. Anne Altar Society.  Gracie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by son, David John Bryson and wife, Nina; her daughters, Karen Ann Reed; Gwendolyn Hatten and husband, David; Myra Plaisance and husband, Ricky; Syndia Guillot and husband, Marlin; and Libby Mixon and husband, Sammy and her brother Sidney Bennett; and her sister, Gale Manuel.  She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. (Bill) Bryson; her parents, David and Ida Bennett; her son-in-law, Raymond Reed and her sisters, Bertha Lanclos and Aline Bennett.
