Grace Venable

Opelousas - Funeral services will be held for Grace Chapman Venable on Monday, December 12, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas with visitation beginning at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Perry Hubbs, Pastor at First Baptist Church of Opelousas, will conduct the funeral service.

Grace, age 85, a resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Senior Village Nursing Home.

Grace enjoyed the simple things in life. Everyone she met loved her for her inner beauty and kindness. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughters, Beryl Venable of Opelousas, LA; Rita Venable of Opelousas, LA and her sister, Louella Bernard of Ville Platte, LA,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Venable; her parents, Chester and Elma Deville Chapman and her sister, Marjorie Manshardt.
