Grace Moran

Krotz Springs- Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Reed Moran, 77, will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Krotz Springs, followed by interment in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Moran, a lifelong native and resident of Krotz Springs, died at 6:17 p.m. on Thursday, November 22, 2007 in New Iberia.

Grace Reed Moran was a kind, giving and generous person. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend. She loved to cook, dance, and spend time with her grandchildren. She was best known for her homemade bread, sweet dough pies, and pecan and coconut cakes.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis M. Conway and husband Ronnie of New Iberia; two sons, Hervey E. Moran and wife Linda and Jay L. Moran and wife Annie of Krotz Springs; six grandchildren, Rachel, Robbie, and Robin Conway, Ken Moran, Shawn Moran, and Heather Johnson; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria R. Jones; a brother, Roy Reed and wife Reva, sister in law, Juanita Reed; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Mrs. Moran was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Louis J. Moran; parents, Doris and Angelina Wiltz Reed and brother, Eric Tee Reed.

The pallbearers will include, Hervey Moran, Jay Moran, Robbie Conway, Ken Moran, Shawn Moran, and Mark Reed. Honorary pallbearers will include, Roy Reed, Ronnie Conway, Tim Reed, Vincent and Woody Wiltz, and Darril Jones.

Visiting will be held at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Friday, November 23, 2007 from 5:00-10:00 p.m. and will re-open at 8:00a.m. on Saturday. A rosary service will be held at 7:00pm on Friday.
