Krotz Springs – Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 for Gloria R. Jones at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Krotz Springs. Reverend Father Michael DeBlanc will officiate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Cemetery.

Gloria R. Jones, age 93 and a resident of Krotz Springs, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at her residence.

Gloria was a long-time parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her two sons, Don Jones and his wife, Amanda and Darrell Jones and his wife, Deborah; grandchildren, Donnie Jones and his wife, Aubrie, Mandy Peters and her husband, Ryan and Darin Jones; step-grandson, Nevin Bretz and his wife, Patty; great-grandchildren, Weston Jones, Addison Jones, John Michael Peters and Timothy Paul Peters; sisters-in-law, Juanita Reed and Reva Reed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Jones; parents, Dores and Angelina Wiltz Reed; brothers, Roy and Eric Reed; and sister, Grace Reed Moran.

Visitation will be held at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening by Father Michael DeBlanc. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Jones, Ryan Peters, Darin Jones, Arnold Wiltz, Bill Wiltz and Jimmy Soileau. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hervey Moran, Vincent Reed and Gordy Reed.

The family wishes to thank her caregivers: Carrie Neely, Tahlia Ponthieux, Karen Johnfroe, Norma Moran, especially, Juanita Reed and nurse practitioner, Elizabeth Martin.

Also, special thanks to Doctors: Gerald Militello, Lauren Barfield, Henry Patrick and Jose Mendoza and also the staff at Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care.
