Gloria Stelly Griffin

Opelousas – It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gloria Stelly Griffin on Friday, May 12, 2023, at The Carpenter House in Lafayette, at the age of 76 years old. She was born in Opelousas to the late Euclide and Ella Stelly.
Gloria was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, who was a loving and caring person. She was a past member of the Cottonport American Legion.
Gloria loved fishing, working on her crafts and shopping with her friends and family. She will be deeply missed by anyone who was blessed to have known her.
Gloria is survived by her daughters, Pamela Baylin and husband, Eddy, of Buford, GA and Monette Evans and husband, Gary, of Lafayette, LA; her sisters, Dorothy Nolan of Opelousas and Diane Richard and husband, Otis, Jr. of Opelousas; her 5 grandchildren, Bradi Newman and her husband, Richie, Brie Parrott and her husband, Carl, Brantley Robert, Bryce Evans and his wife, Katie, and Madeline Evans; 5 great-grandchildren, Eli Newman, Charlie Newman, Layla Evans, Evie Parrott and Rosey Parrott.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Hayden Griffin, and her parents, Euclide and Ella Stelly.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. A Rosary will be recited at 2:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Gloria Stelly Griffin at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church. The Very Reverend Monsignor Keith DeRouen will officiate the services. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.
