Glenn Walker

Opelousas Services for Glenn Walker, age 83, will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel Opelousas, La., followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, La. The Reverend Nick Peters will conduct the services.

Mr. Walker, a resident of Opelousas, La., passed away on Monday, January 17, 2011.

Glenn was last employed by Knight Oil Tools as a consultant. He enjoyed fishing, loved his family, was an outgoing person and never met a stranger. He also enjoyed the company of his dogs.

He is survived by his sons, Dane Walker and wife, Evelina, of Lafayette, La. Rodney Walker and wife, Charlotte, of Sulphur, La. Andy Walker and wife, Sarah, of Tee Mamou, La. his daughterinlaw, Barbara Walker, of Carencro, La. his brother, Hamp Walker and wife, Iona, of Shady Groves, Florida and his sisters, Thelma Skinner and husband, Fain, of Live Oak, Florida and June Pridgeon of Perry, Florida. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 27 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Walker his parents, Ralph and Ethel King Walker and his son, Rusty Walker.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Friday until time of service.
