Gladys Edwards

Gladys Mary Edwards died in Opelousas on December 29, 2014.

She is the daughter of the late Inez Perrault Edwards and Harold Guegnon Fabian Edwards, M.D. She was preceded in death by her brother Francis Racine Edwards and her sister Dorothy Mary Edwards.

She is survived by her brother, Dr. Harold Guegnon Fabian Edwards, Jr. Juanita Mallet, three nephews, Allen Morris Edwards Renee Dupont, David Floyd Edwards Catherine Hagaman, Philip David Edwards Lynn Lewis, and her dear cousin, Anne Marie Hollier.

Gladys was a lifelong member of St. Landry Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2015. Conducting the Mass will be Monsignor Charles Mallet, concelebrated by The Very Monsignor Keith DeRouen and Father Angelo Cremaldi. Right of committal will be held at St. Landry Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at the St. Landry Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. followed by the recitation of the Rosary at 12:30 p.m.

Pallbearers are Allen Morris Edwards, David Floyd Edwards, Philip David Edwards, Benjamin Bailey Edwards, Philip David Guegnon Edwards, and Charles Thomas Mahfouz.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Landry Catholic Church.
