Gilfred Deville

Funeral services for Gilfred Gil Deville, will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with interment in Waxia Methodist Cemetery. The Rev. Peter Smith will perform the graveside service. The service will be conducted by Humble Cottage Masonic Lodge 19.

Mr. Deville, age 63, passed away March 23, 2009 at his residence in Waxia, La. Mr. Deville was a Past Master of Orphan Friend Lodge 185 and a member of Humble Cottage 19 of Opelousas and a member of Fidelity Chapter 160 order of the Eastern Star in Marinquin.

Gil is survived by his wife, Emily Sue Woods Deville of Waxia, La.; two sons, Gilfred Gil Deville. Jr. also of Waxia, La., and Stacy Greg Deville of Cankton, La.; four daughters, Denaye Dee Dee Duhon of Opelousas, Ginger Sue Gin Gobert of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Elizabeth Ann Davis of Scott, La. and Donna Gayle LeBlanc also of Scott La.; two brothers; Vernell Deville and Floyd House Deville both of Opelousas. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Euwell Deville and Evelyn Fontenot Deville and two infant brothers.

The family has requested that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Eastern Star Funeral rights will be on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at 7:00 p.m.
