Gertrude Johnson

Funeral services for Gertrude D. Johnson will be held on Monday August 9, 2010 at 10:00am in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel. The interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park. Fr. Jim Brady will conduct the services.

Mrs. Johnson, age 84, a resident of Opelousas died Saturday August 7, 2010 at Opelousas General Health Systems.

Survivors include her two daughters Melinda J. Savant and husband Billy of Prairieville and Clarice J. Rogers and husband Robert of Louisville, KY, one sister Ival Bertrand of Opelousas, three grandchildren Nicolle S. Rovere, Sarah Rogers and Ryan Rogers and one great grandchild Isabella Rovere.

Preceded in death by her parents Lucein and Leonise Darbonne and her husband Warren Johnson

Visitation will held on Sunday August 8, 2010 from 6:00pm until 10:00pm and will reopen on Monday from 8:00am until time of services. A rosary will be recited on Sunday at 7:00pm.
