She gracefully passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Christus Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana, after a long illness at the age of 32.
A devoted homemaker, Gabby dedicated her life to her daughters, pouring her love into every moment shared with them. She was a nurturing mother, who embraced her girls with threads of compassion and warmth. Gabby was an artist at heart who found great joy in creating beautiful moments through arts and crafts projects and scrapbooking. She would spend time painting with her youngest daughter, Emmery, as they let their imaginations flourish. The laughter and creativity shared between them painted not only canvases but also cherished memories. With her oldest daughter, Gracie, she transformed simple afternoons into delightful experiences, indulging in the art of makeup, illuminating their beauty with sparkle and shared laughter. She had a special bond with Gracie, and together they found joy in watching movies together. She loved playing video games and creating adventurous worlds that brought joy and excitement to her. An animal lover at heart, her bond with all creatures showcased her nurturing and compassionate nature, a gift she shared endlessly with those around her.
A faithful Christian woman, she drew strength from her faith, finding purpose even in the most challenging times. Gabby's courage was especially evident as she faced her health issues with an unwavering strength, embodying the very essence of resilience. Gabby’s love extended beyond her family, close friends and church community. Her humor was infectious, bringing smiles to faces and light to the darkest days. The donation truly saves and enhances lives. Her family was able to honor her wishes by passing on the gift of life to others through LOPA.
