Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. for Gabrielle �½Gabby�½ Alexandra LaJack, on Friday, June 12, 2015, at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. Reverend Jared Suire will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Gabrielle "Gabby" Alexandra LaJack, 17, of Opelousas Louisiana, was called home by Our Lord June 9, 2015.

Throughout her short life, Gabby was joy personified, frequently infecting those around her with her laugh and silly antics. She was a kind soul who tended to the needs of others, and had a special place in her heart for her family pets. Her quirky sense of humor was well-known to her friends and classmates.

As a senior and honor student at Opelousas Catholic, Gabby was a leader being selected to serve as a member of the Ministry Team and Cheerleading Squad. She loved to cheer -- her megaphone and pompoms were with her always. Gabby was confident in her Catholic faith, and her faith journey through the Sacraments. She lived deeply her faith as demonstrated when she served the children of Guatemala on a recent mission trip. Her life revealed the beautiful love shared between herself and our Lord. This faith offers comfort to her family with the knowledge that her radiant spirit will be with them forever.

Gabby was a most precious and beloved daughter to her parents, Sonny and Kim LaJack -- she was their joy; a treasured sister to her siblings Lindsey and Logan, Danielle LaJack Liner, and Kimberly Soileau; and a loving �½Aunt G�½ to her infant nephew, Jefferson. Gabby will live forever in our hearts.

Gabby�½s survivors are her parents, Sonny and Kim Bordelon LaJack, of Opelousas, LA; her maternal grandparents, Donald and Jackline Bordelon, of Opelousas, LA; her brother, Logan Duchesne LaJack, of Opelousas, LA; her sisters, Danielle LaJack Liner and husband, Zachary, of Texas; Lindsey Marie LaJack of New Orleans, LA and Kimberly Daire Soileau and husband, Chad, of Ville Platte, LA; her nephews, Ty and Lane Soileau and Jefferson Liner and her Godmothers, Kathy Whipp, Channy Manuel and Kim Daire.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Nason LaJack, Sr. and Lucille Moore LaJack.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Bordelon, Richard Bordelon, Christopher Bordelon, Brent Bordelon, Gary LaJack and Logan LaJack. Honorary pallbearers will be her Godfather, Neal Whipp and the Senior Class of Opelousas Catholic.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday, June 12, 2015, at 7:00 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
