Franklin Courvelle

Funeral services for Mr. Franklin D. Courvelle will be held on Friday, May, 8, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas, with the interment in Bellevue Memorial Park. The Rev. Paul Bienvenu will conduct the services.

Mr. Courvelle, age 75, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2009 at his daughters residence. He was one of the first TV repairmen in the Opelousas Area and was in sales at Howard Brothers and J.B. Sandoz. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his son; Creighton Courvelle and his wife Jennifer of Opelousas, his daughter; Tammie Courvelle Jagneaux and her husband Brent of Lafayette, his sisters; Maggie Fitzgerald Halphen and her husband Lee of Opelousas. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Jade, Loni, Nikki and Kalee.

He was preceded in death by his parentsLucius and Zula Richard Courvelle.

The family has requested that visitation will be observed on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
