Frank Collette

MelvilleService for Frank Collette, age 72, will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at

11:00 a.m. in the St. John Catholic Church, followed by interment in the Church Cemetery in Melville, Louisiana. Rev. James Nguyen will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.

Mr. Collette, a resident of Melville, died on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Baton Rouge General Hospital.

He is survived by his two sons, Ralph Collette of Denham Springs, La.; Kevin Johnson and wife, Lois, of Eunice, La.; three brothers, Anthony N. Collette and wife, Rose, of Baton Rouge, La.; Sam Collette and wife, Mabel, of Baton Rouge, La.; Mitchell Collette and wife, Venida, of Lottie, La. and one sister, Francis Ponthieux of Melville, La. He is also survived by one granddaughter of Eunice, La. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Collette was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Frances Forte Collette.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Melville on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will re-open on Thursday, April 21, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Collette, Eric Collette, Chad Collette, Dustin Collette, Josh Ponthieux and Cole Ponthieux. Honorary pallbearers will be: Kenneth Rutledge, Virgil Martin and Larry Ponthieux.
