It is with heavy hearts that the family of Francis James "Frog" Ducote announce his passing on December 13, 2020.
Due to Covid-19 there will a graveside service held in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
He was a former member of the carpenters local 1098, in Baton Rouge, La. He also worked in other states in the construction industry. Prior to returning to Krotz Springs in 2010, he lived in Orlando for many years, working as an automotive mechanic. A trade he passed along to his sons. His work there included working on antique cars. He enjoyed attending car shows and watching auctions on tv. He was an avid football fan and cheered on the LSU Tigers and the Saints. Francis was proud of his heritage and enjoyed the Ducote reunions and being with his family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Manor Nursing Home for his care and especially Rebecca and Scott.
Frog is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lanier and husband Clifford; sons, Robby Ducote, David Olivier and wife Gerri, Jimmy Olivier, Mark Olivier and wife Sandy; 12 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Lilly Ducote; siblings, Jacqueline Marie Ducote Marshall Ducote, Abner Ducote, Shirley D. Webb, James "J.P." Ducote, Delores D. Adams, and Joseph John Ducote.
