Frances Deglandon

Opelousas Funeral services for Frances Champagne Deglandon, age 72, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend James Lambert, S.J. will conduct the services.

Mrs. Deglandon, who was a resident of Broussard, La., died at 9:35 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2011 in the Camelot of Broussard.

Frannie was strong in her Catholic faith and prayed the rosary every day. She loved painting, was a great cook and seamstress. She was a caregiver who never wanted to put anyone out. She worked as a Deputy Clerk with the Clerk of Courts office in Baton Rouge and was also a bank teller with Chase Bank.

Survivors include her daughter, Angie Ryan and husband, Paul, of Keller, Texas her son, Tracy Deglandon and wife, Kathy Latiolais Deglandon, of Sunset, La. her sister, Viv LeJeune, of Eunice, La. her sisterinlaw, Eula Mae Champagne her brotherinlaw, Ike Luke of Centerville, La. She is also survived by her 2 grandchildren, Sarah Ryan and Trista Ryan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Fabeulah Barras Champagne her brother, Jack Champagne and her sisters, Patricia Schoen and Edna Luke.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
