Floyd Robin

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Floyd Lee Robin, age 67, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on, Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas, La., followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Paul Bienvenu will be the celebrant of the Mass.

Mr. Robin, who was a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 6:50 a.m. at his residence.

Floyd enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Burleigh Robin, of Opelousas, La. his son, Luke F. Robin and wife, Wendy, of Scott, La. his daughters, Sheila Robin Delafosse and husband, Ted, of Carencro, La. Brenda Robin Lee and husband, Joseph, of Opelousas, La. and his brother, James Robin and wife, Betty, of Opelousas, La. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Adam Delafosse, April Delafosse, Daniel Delafosse, Brooke Robin, Ben Robin, Nick Robin, Sam Robin, Amber Richard and Ryan Lee.

He is preceded in death by his, parents, Jefferson and Bertha Soileau Robin and his sister, Roma Jean Robin.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Luke Robin, Ben Robin, Daniel Delafosse, Charlie Foster, Ted Delafosse and Joseph L. Burleigh. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Lee, Kaden Stelly, Jude Foster, Jr. and Micah Porterfield.
