Fay Whittington

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Amy Fay Whittington, the former Amy Fay Duplichen, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2015 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Krotz Springs, LA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend Chanh Van Nguyen will celebrate the Mass.

Mrs. Whittington, age68, who was a native of Melville, LA and a resident of Krotz Springs, LA, died on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA.

Fay enjoyed quilting, playing cards with "The Golden Girls", riding motorcycles and traveling. She found great joy during family time on the weekend and Fay always wanted to make sure that everyone was fed and happy. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, David Whittington of Krotz Springs, LA; son, David Whittington, Jr. and wife Gena of Krotz Springs, LA; daughter, Charlotte Ann Stelly and husband Dave; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Richard and husband Belton, Kalen Stelly and wife Kaitlin, Amanda Barker and husband Darrell, Jenna Leger, Hannah Whittington, Grace Stelly and Faith Stelly; 7 great grandchildren, Tracy, Blake, Tylor, Andrew, Devon, Peyton and Cali;
brothers, Ernest Duplichen and wife Trisha of Pearl, MS, Milton Duplichen, Jr. and wife Sherry of Pearl, MS, Ray Duplichen and wife Cheryl of Gonzales, LA and Chris Duplichen of Walker, LA; sisters, Jeanette Fruge and husband Falis of Couplan, TX, Barbara Ray and husband Johnny of Krotz Springs, LA, Peggy Marcotte and husband Elton of Prairieville, LA, Polly Harris and husband Ronnie of Gonzales, LA, Debbie Ellis and husband J.B. of Jackson, LA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Florence Brosette Duplichen and her sister, Penny Adams.

Visiting hours will be observed at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs beginning Sunday, March 08, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until service time on Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
