Krotz Springs A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Farriel Joseph Thibodeaux at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014, in the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Krotz Springs, LA. Reverend Chanh Nguyen will celebrate the Mass. Rite of committal will be held at the church cemetery.

Mr. Thibodeaux, age 69, a resident of Melville, LA, died on Monday, August 18, 2014, at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA.

Farriel retired from R.O. Martin Lumber after 23 years and served his country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, tractor restorations and was an allaround craftsman. He loved family outings and spending time with children and grandchildren. He was the best husband, father and grandfather anyone could have. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ann Naquin Thibodeaux, of Krotz Springs, LA his mother, Gussie Jane Veillon Thibodeaux, of Krotz Springs, LA his son, Bobby Thibodeaux, of Melville, LA his daughter, Pamela Johnson and husband, Chris, of Prairieville, LA his brothers, Francis Thibodeaux and wife, Anna, of Krotz Springs, LA Larry Thibodeaux and wife, Ellen, of Coon, LA and his sister, Beverly Juneau and husband, Dan, of Moody, AL. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Kyle Ray, Holly Ray and 4 greatgrandchildren, Jaxon Ray, Liam Higgons, Eli Higgons and Andie Hebert.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Leon Thibodeaux and his brother, Joey Thibodeaux.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Thursday, August 21, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday at 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Jason Thibodeaux, Sean Landry, Stevie Thibodeaux, Brian Naquin, Chris Johnson and Kyle Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be Harley Duplechain and Devitt Prudhomme.
