MRS. CLARENCE J. FRANCOIS

Funeral services for Mrs. Clarence J. Francois, the former Evier Courvelle, of Garland, will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington at 1PM, Thursday, December 7th, 2006 with interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Albert Nunez will conduct the services.

Mrs. Francois, 93, died Tuesday at 4:40AM at Opelousas General Health Unit. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a role model who believed in her church and prayer. She was a very gentle and wise in
idual. She taught Catechism at St. Agnes Church in Garland.

She is survived by 3 sons; Adam F. Francois of San Antonia TX., C.J. Francois Jr. and his wife Angie of Sulphur La. and Maurice M. Francois and his wife Frankie of Garland, 2 daughters; Mary Ella Francois and Roger Esteves of Sunset and Sherron F. Vidrine and her husband John Ted Vidrine of Folsum La. a daughter-in-law; Mildred Matt Francois of Lafayette; a sister Mrs. James Callie Palmer Sr of Opelousas, 2 sister-in-laws; Mrs. Catherine H. Courvelle of Garland and Mrs. Morina B. Courvelle of Opelousas, 9 grandchildren; Thelma Craine, Rachel Thrichel, Tonia Ray Ardoin and her husband Huey Chip Ardoin, Kristie Combest, Lacretia Francois, Travis Vidrine, Mandy Francois, Mallory Francois and Adrianna Francois, she is also survived by 13 Great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Francois was preceded in death by her husband Clarence J. Francois Sr, her parents; Amar and Ella Venable Courvelle, a daughter-in-law; Noemi Rodragues Francois, 3 brothers; Artelus Courvelle, Ferdinand Poke Courvelle and A.B. Courvelle Sr

Visitation will be observed on Wednesday from 2PM to 10PM and will continue on Thursday from 8AM until time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 6PM on Wednesday.
