Melville - Funeral services for Evie T. Savantl, age 79, will be held on August 16, 2008 at 3:00 pm in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel Church in Melville, followed by interment in the St. Johns Cemetery in Melville, La.

Fr. James Ngyuen will conduct the services.

Mrs. Evie T. Savant a resident of Melville, La., died on August 14, 2008 at the Tri-Community Nursing Home in Palmetto, La. after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Savant was a homemaker.

Survivors include her sons, Harold Savant and his wife, Marlene, of Denham Springs, La. and Carlos Savant and his wife, Cindy, of Krotz Springs, La. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Carlos and Angie Savant of Marksville, La.; Travis and Melissa Savant of Walker, La.; Quinton and Shelly Savant of Venice, La.; Jon and Kristin Savant of Walker, La.; Brett and Candice Savant of Walker, La. and her five great-grandchildren, Kate and Kyle Savant of Marksville, La. and Alex, Collin and Braylin Savant of Venice, La.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Chucker Savant, Sr. and her parents, Elie and Leah Leblanc.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Melville on Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
