Opelousas - Funeral services for Eva Dale Wilson, age 59, will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Landry Catholic Church, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. The Very Reverend Monsignor Robert Romero will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.
Mrs. Wilson, better known as Dale, who was a native of Sunset and a resident of Opelousas, died on Friday, June 20, 2008 at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans.
She was a Grandmother of three boys, whom she loved dearly. She will be missed by those who knew her as a fun loving and free spirited lady.
Survivors include her husband, John Dudley Wilson of Opelousas; a daughter, Angella and husband Phelton Arnaud, Jr. of Sunset; three grandchildren, Seth, Skyler, and Sade Arnaud.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clement and Eva Burleigh Benoit.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, June 22, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 7:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be held on Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
