Eva Riegel

Opelousas Funeral services for Eva L. Riegel, the former Eva Lafleur, age 90, will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, La., followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Brother Eldon Reeves will conduct the services.

Mrs. Riegel, a native of Grand Prairie and resident of Opelousas passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Senior Village Nursing Home.

She is survived by her daughter, Billie Soileau and husband, Joe, of Opelousas a sister, Georgia Reed of Opelousas two grandchildren, Katy Soileau of Opelousas and Kelli Castille of Seaside, Florida and a greatgrandchild, Elodie Shirley and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her husband, Russell Riegel her parents, Juste and Marie Fontenot Lafleur two brothers, Harris and Juste Lafleur, Jr. and six sisters, Helen Lafleur, Bessie Lafleur, Mary Roberie, Clem Barley, Florence Lafleur and Bella Bihm.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, November 20, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
