Eva Goudeau

Funeral services for Eva Harvey Goudeau will be held at 10:30 a.m. on, Monday, September 5, 2011, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, La. followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas. Reverend Stephen Fife will conduct the service.

Mrs. Goudeau, age 83, a resident of Lafayette, La., died on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Lafayette General Medical Center.

Eva enjoyed cooking and took pride in her home and yard. Some of her proudest moments were when all of her children were eating her wonderful cooking at her home. It was no doubt the best food in the world. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, Stanley R. Goudeau of Austin, Texas Roger D. Goudeau and wife, Dee, of Baton Rouge, La. her daughter, Jamie Lynn Goudeau of Erath, La. her brother, George Rae Harvey and wife, May, of Fort Worth, Texas and her sister, Louise Ledoux and husband, Emmett of Opelousas, La. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Jessica Schexnayder and Amy Christoff one stepgrandchild, Gabe Krajicek and 5 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Goudeau her brothers, Harry Harvey, Willie Harvey, James Harvey and her sisters, Florence Ledoux, Ruth Tumpy Ventre and Dorothy Harvey.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Sunday, September 4, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on 9:00 a.m. on Monday until service time.
