Esther Bihm

Lawtell Loving mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and prayerful person. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Esther L. Bihm, age 95, on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church followed by interment in church cemetery in Lawtell, La. Father Dan Picard will officiate the services.

Mrs. Bihm passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas.

She was a lifelong resident of Lawtell, a member of the Catholic Daughers of America, a member of the Ladies Altar Society and a longtime catechism teacher.

She is survived by her son, Bobbie Bihm and wife, Mary, of Opelousas, LA Johnnie Bihm and wife, Pat, of DeRidder, LA and her daughter, Barbara Bihm of New Orleans, LA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: David T. Bihm and wife, Kimberly, of Arlington, Texas Darryl J. Bihm and wife, Ginger, of Fort Worth, Texas Stephanie B. Lanclos and husband, Billy, of Leonville, LA Tracy P. Bihm and wife, Ann, of Sunset, LA and her greatgrandchildren: Alex, Ryan, Haley, Payten, Carlie, Jordan and Will.

Mrs. Bihm was preceded in death by her spouse, Curries J. Bihm her parents three sisters and one brother.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, January 7, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2010 until service time. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010.
