Essie Prejean

Funeral services for Ms. Essie Marie Prejean will be on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 in Lawtell at St. Bridget Catholic Church at 11:00AM and interment will be in the Church cemetery. The Rev. Picard will conduct the services.

Ms. Prejean, age 89, a resident of Lawtell, died on Sunday, January 27th at Opelousas General Health Systems.

Ms. Prejean is survived by her brothers Raymond Prejean and his wife, Sylvia and Joseph U. Prejean, Jr. and his wife, June all of Lawtell. Ms. Prejean is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was a devoted sister and loving aunt and was very faithful to her religion.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ludie Soileau, Minnie Lyons, Audry Guilbeaux, Bessie Grosz, brother, Leo Prejean and parents, Ursin Joseph Prejean, Sr. and Emma Lydia Boudreaux Prejean.

Visitation will be observed at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas on Tuesday from 3:00PM to 9:00PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00AM until the time of service. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7:00PM.
