Grand Prairie A Mass of Christian Burial for Emma Lou Solieau will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, in the St. Peter Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the St. Peter Church Mausoleum in Grand Prairie, LA with Reverend Jerry Mesley as the Celebrant.

Mrs. Soileau, age 89, a resident of Opelousas, LA, formerly of Grand Prairie, LA and Lake Charles, LA, died on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas, LA.

Emma will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, Paul Buddy Alex Soileau, of Lake Charles, LA John Glenn Soileau of Silsbee, Texas Bruce Robert Soileau of Kaneohe, Hawaii her daughters, Sue Soileau Altenbernd, of Tampa, Florida and Marie Soileau Conner of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernand J. Soileau her parents, Adeole and Nona Fontenot Soileau and her brother, Aaron P. Soileau.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Friday, January 25, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
