Emily Guidry

A mass of Christian burial for Emily Lafleur Guidry will be held on Tuesday September 7, 2010 at 11:00am in Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. The interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park. Monsignor Keith Derouen will celebrate the mass.

Mrs. Guidry age 73, a resident of Opelousas died Sunday September 5, 2010 at Opelousas Health Systems. She worked at Planters Bank and Anthonys Department Store. Owned and operated Flowers, Rosary and Gifts by Emily. She was a very religious person and belonged to the Catholic Daughters and also loved the farm and fishing.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Wilbert J. Guidry of Opelousas, son Keith Joseph Guidry and wife Lisa of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents Adner and Louise Blanchard Lafleur, a brother Shelly Boy Lafleur and a son Kyle Guidry.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 7, 2010 at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church from 9:00am until 11:00am. with a rosary being recited at 10:00am.
