Palmetto Funeral services for Emiline LeDoux Ogea, age 87, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2010 in the First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge in Palmetto. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. Reverend Dallas Shuff will conduct the services.
Emiline, better known as Pinkie, a lifelong resident of Palmetto, died 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Opelousas General Health System.
She retired from St. Landry Parish School Board as cafeteria manager of Palmetto High School and later served as a senior companion at Tri Community Nursing Home prior to becoming a resident. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge.
Emiline was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Armenia Frame LeDoux two sisters, Ursline Dupuy and Beatrice Dupre and four brothers, Thomas, Lloyd, Jimmy and Elijah LeDoux.
She is survived by and loved by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge in Palmetto from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m.
