Elvenia Hooks

Krotz Springs Funeral services for Elvenia Ardoin Hooks, age 88, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs with burial to follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Chad Bolfa will conduct the funeral service.

Mrs. Hooks, a resident of Krotz Springs, La., died on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Opelousas General Health System.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Neil Hooks and wife, Sally, of Krotz Springs, La. two grandchildren, Jana Leininger and husband, Tonne, of Krotz Springs, La. Kelly Hooks and wife, Julie, of Opelousas, La. and four greatgrandchildren, Aaron Schexnayder, Ryan Schexnayder, Hannah Hooks and Haleigh Hooks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hooks, Jr. her daughter, Myrna Agnes Nall her brothers, John O. Ardoin, Oftey Ardoin, her sister, Agnes Henderson an infant sister and her grandson, Chris Kramer.

Visiting hours will be observed in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs beginning on Friday, October 5, 2012, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
