Elta Miller

Funeral services for Elta Stanford Miller will held on Monday November 15, 2010 at 12 noon at LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. The interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park. Pastor Gerald Heard will conduct the services.

Mrs. Miller, age 83, a resident of Lafayette, formerly of Opelousas died Saturday November 13, 2010. She was retired from Walmart after 21 years.

She is survived by her sons Kenneth Miller and wife Charlotte of Lafayette and Carl Miller of Broussard, daughter Ramona M. Guitreau of St. Amant, brother Gervis Stanford of Eunice, sister Anna Dale Leger of Chataignier, 8 grandchildren Rachel M. Landry, Lance Miller, Elizabeth Guitreau, Scott Guitreau, Stephanie Spillman, Joshua Guitreau, Jessica Miller and Amanda Miller and 8 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents Ben and Estellina Jaquneau Stanford, brothers Vorice Stanford and Roland Stanford and Verlin Stanford, sisters Rita Venable and Ella Mae Manuel.

Visitation will be on Sunday November 14, 2010 from 2:00pm until 9:00pm and will reopen on Monday from 10:00am until time of services at 12 noon.
