Elsie Stelly Deville

Opelousas - Funeral services for Elsie Stelly Deville, will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in the Skip Montet Chapel in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas.  Deacon Sammy Diesi will conduct the service.  Lectors will be Crystal Stelly and Stephanie Pitre.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 9:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM with a rosary will be prayed at 1:30 PM on Tuesday.  Burial will be held in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Deville, age 88, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Nursing Home.  Elsie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children, Steve Deville and wife, Betty, of Opelousas, LA; Sandra Deville Vidrine and husband, Kenneth, of Grand Prairie, LA; Dianne Deville Soileau and husband, Dale, of Opelousas, LA; her sister, Ann Stelly Tate of Grand Coteau, LA; her brother, Raymond Stelly of Opelousas, LA and her daughter-in-law, Jolane Gibson Deville, of Opelousas, LA.  She is also survived by six grandchildren, one step-grandchild, fourteen great-grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Attaway Deville; her parents, Lionel Stelly, Sr. and Clemence Richard Stelly; her son, Brent Anthony Deville; her brothers, Simon Stelly, Darnville Stelly, David Stelly, Johnny Stelly, Lionel Stelly, Jr., Paul Stelly; Bobby Stelly; her sister, Laura Stelly F.ontenot and her granddaughter, Heather Marie Deville.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Deville, Marcus Vidrine, Shane Tate, Matt Stelly, Craig Soileau and Timmy Deville.
