Elrick Stelly

A Mass of Christian Burial for Elrick Ricco Joseph Stelly will be held on Monday December 26, 2011 at 2:00pm at LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. The interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park. Fr. Albert Nunez will celebrate the mass.

Mr. Stelly, age 78, a resident of Plaisance died Friday December 23, 2011 at Opelousas General Health System South Campus. He was a U.S Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict in Japan. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 209 an usher at Immaculate Conception Church in Washington and also a warehouse supervisor at Chastant Brothers in Lafayette for 18 years.

He is survived by his wife Juanita Dupre Stelly of Plaisance, sons Jean Harlan Fontenot and fianc Linda Chadwick of Carencro, Francis Xaiver Fontenot of Alexandria, daughters Lisa Stelly Behrhorst and husband Konrad of Lafayette, Juan Ella Fontenot of Scott, brother Lynic Stelly and wife Terry of Plaisance, sister Beryl Guillory and husband Nathan of Stafford, VA, grandchildren Chip Hollingsworth, Laurie Beth LeBlanc, Jessica Fontenot, Philip Behrhorst, Jacob Behrhorst and one step grandchild Malisa Neal and five great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents Henry and Eugenie Stelly.

The family has requested the visitation be held on Sunday December 25, 2011 from 2:00pm until 9:00pm and will reopen on Monday from 8:00am until time of services. A rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6:00pm.
