Eloise Jarrell

February 18, 1935 — February 28, 2020

Funeral services will be held for Eva Eloise Reviere Jarrell at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 2, 2020, at the First Pentecostal Church in Melville, LA (112 Fontenot Street, Melville, LA  71353). Reverend Samuel Ham and Reverend Leon Hickman will conduct the service.  Burial will take place at First Pentecostal Church of Melville Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Jarrell, a resident of Melville, LA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2020.

Eloise was a pastor's wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her.  After the death of her husband in 1971, Eloise began her career with Chevron where she retired after working many years in accounting.  She loved to bake and cook for her family and friends and was famous for banana pudding, chocolate cake and fried chicken.  She also enjoyed playing games such as Yahtzee, Dominos and Phase 10 with family and friends.

She is survived by son, Thomas Daniel Jarrell and wife, Debbie; her daughters, Elizabeth Deanna Jarrell Polotzola and Carroll Snyder, Eloise Darnell Jarrell Maturin and her brother, Johnny (John) Stanley Reviere.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Nicholas Seth Polotzola, Haley Brooke Polotzola, Caleb Dean Polotzola, Clinton Paul Maturin, Heather Nicole Lefort, Jessikah Leah Simon, Leslie Danielle Jarrell and eleven great-grandchildren, Cooper Thomas Maturin, Ella Kate Maturin, Evey Mae Lefort, Lily Renee Lefort, Jennifer Lynn Simon, Haley Grace Simon, Julia Kate Simon, Adam James Simon, Houston Thomas Jarrell, Marleigh Rose Jarrell and Brees Edward Gavin; numerous nieces, nephews and other special family members that were dear to her heart, Carlos Polotzola, Becky Jarrell, and Glenn Maturin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston (Bruce) Jarrell; parents, Clarence Reviere and Ola Mae Reviere; siblings, Jimmy Reviere, William (Bill) Reviere, Roger Reviere, Geraldine Sharp and Delores Janell Loyd.

Visitation will be held in the First Pentecostal Church of Melville on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and will reopen on Monday from 8:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas Polotzola, Caleb Polotzola, Clint Maturin, Danny Jarrell, Leon Hickman and Carlos Polotzola.

The Jarrell family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Prompt Succor nursing home for the love and care given to Eloise.
